6 straight wins in Sri Lanka Worlds to retain their title

Goacher Sails take a 3rd World Championship

GP 14

Goacher Sails take a third concurrent World Championship with straight wins. Last year our sails took almost a clean sweep of the Nationals with 1st 2nd 4th and 5th. Follow this with the Grand Prix and all the area championships but one -our performance advantage is clear.

Our sails have improved the performance of sailors throughout the fleet. Both Andy Tunnicliffe and Chris Robinson, World and National Champions from the loft, will be out on the circuit and will be delighted to assist with tuning advice.

Sail development and production

We have invested heavily in design and manufacturing technology. We use Sailpack Design Software which we believe is the most capable system available. It is the vital precise link between the designer and the finished sail shape. We believe that investing in Sailpack has given us an advantage and we are in good company, it was used by every team in the last but one Americas Cup. To ensure the most exacting standards are maintained, all our sails from small dinghies to large yachts are produced entirely in house,f rom cutting on our CNC machine through to completion. We have a close relationship with all the sailcloth manufacturers and are commited to sourcing the best materials for each application.

Sail Specifications

Our genoas are manufactured from Contender 4.46 Polykote, chosen for its low bias stretch and high durability. We produce Genoa variations to suit both GRP and wooden boats using through deck or under deck sheeting. We offer a mainsail design to suit Selden and Superspar rigs.
To complement our Genoa we are offering our standard woven main built in Dimension Polyant 200AP or the laminate main built in ODL black Technora, offering the advantages of light weight, increased visibility, and the ability to see the genoa leech telltails. Technora is chosen as one of the most durable high modulus fibres available.
Our GP14 spinnakers are made from Bainbridge Airex 600 giving us excellent stability, tear resistance and durability.
We supply large teaching establishments with durable training sails, our GP cruising sails are built to last!
