Goacher Sails are increasingly seen around our coasts both in regatta sailing and for sailors requiring good quality robust cruising sails.
When you are considering your next sail we are able to offer you the opportunity to speak directly with the sail designer. We aim to help you select the most suitable sail for your requirements. As a small tight knit team we provide complete assurance of continuity throughout all stages of design and build, often difficult to maintain in a large loft. We work hard to maintain close links with our clients and if you are new to us they will tell you that our back-up is second to none!

Technology
We have built on our expertise gained in one design fleets and have extended our design base using the latest computer software.
Our design programs are linked to our in-house CNC cutting machine to ensure that there is no slip between design and reality. This gives us greater control over standards and greater speed and flexibility to cope with orders and hold down delivery times.
We have invested heavily in new machinery to ensure that construction is carried out to a high standard. Our sails are engineered to last and after you receive your sails we are pleased to offer any tuning back-up or service that you may require.
We use Sailmaker software to design headsails, mainsails, asymmetric and symmetrical spinnakers. This system provides a tool enabling us to create 3D mould shapes from a series of chords built up throughout the height of the sail.
Each of the chord parameters can be viewed to show vertical fairness
within the sail. Panel shapes are then computed to fit the mould.
They are now exported into a nesting and cutting programme shown
below. The screen shows panels on a roll of sailcloth.

We are pleased to supply written quotations against Yacht Type or I, J, P, E measurements. To ensure that we quote specifications and materials suitable for your application we prefer to discuss at this stage.
How to order
Measurement forms can be downloaded below and from these we can produce sails custom designed for your yacht. Sheeting angles, mast bend, spreader lengths, luff sag, etc. are all input into our CAD system. Our design expertise ensures that these are translated into fast, durable sails.
