We believe that investing in Sailpack has given us an advantage and we are in good company- it was used by every America's Cup Team last year.
After a winter translating our existing CAD library into Sailpack all our new designs are produced on Sailpack.
We have seen the accuracy of sails produced by this powerful design tool.
We are now seeing the success on the water.
We hope we can pass that on to you!
GP Worlds Title retained in Style against tough opposition. Ian Dobson and Andy Tunnicliffe counted 4 wins and 3 seconds to regain their title. They were using a Duffin hull, prepared by Andy for the event. We were delighted to supply full suits to 3 boats in the top ten and we are always pleased to see our customers improve. Andy will be pleased to help any GP sailors looking for a little extra.
Latest news: GP Northerns 1st overall Andy Tunnicliffe and Gavin Tullett
Flying Fifteen Europeans- First Overall and six boats in the top ten with an astounding fourteen using our sails in the top twenty.
Our sails have continued unrivalled success in the class enjoying similar results in the Worlds last year and dominating in the UK and Ireland.
Our list of winners in the Fifteen is too long for this section and is given on the Fifteen page.
Mirror Ed and Beth Grey continue their winning streak. Taking the Scottish Championships, the Western Championships followed by the Swedish Nationals they led the Europeans by a good margin. A protest and capsize dropped them to third overall but we and they are highly optimistic about our new Mirror rig which has shown great speed and consistency.
We are now into our third year of designing for the Bermudian rig,it has been a period of continuous development for spar and sailmakers. We were delighted to help David and Beth Grey win the Travellers Series last year and we hope that the groundwork done will pave the way for greater success in the future.
Miracle Paul Huett helped us develop the miracle rig and once we were confident of the design, Martyn Lewis took delivery of a suit just prior to the Southerns which he won. Paul and Callum led the charge to win the Nationals from Martyn and Rebecca -taking seven of the ten races between them.
At the recently held Inlands at Draycote Martin Huett & Martyn Lewis took first and second overall.
Osprey Following Phil Angrave’s recent success using Goacher Sails, Steve and Andy borrowed Wally Gardiner's immaculate 32 year old Just Pogo. With a preparation of two flat calm rainy sails and an evening blast down at Roa Island, they were beginning to get a flavour of the power on tap! They were pleased with third overall at the Nationals, even more delighted to finish the regatta with an upbeat 1,2,1 to take more race wins in the event than any other boat. Phil Angrave put in a respectable 7th.
Sonata Nationals We are pleased to report an emphatic win for Team Boatman, but the competition for second was hot. Goacher sails powered the top 7 boats -and many more besides.
Formula 1 Nationals Paul Harkness continued his winning ways and took his fifth Nationals using our latest sails. We are pleased to have supplied the majority of the fleet.

Winter Service
We very much appreciate winter service work earlier rather than later. Keep em' coming
Cruising
We have supplied several serious long term cruising ventures this year for boats intending to sail many thousands of miles to warmer climes. With heavy duty machinery and 5000 sq ft of floor space we are able to take on some seriously weighty projects.
If you are looking for good quality, no nonsense sails, please give us a call.
Fully battened mainsails are becoming more and more popular. We have samples of the popular systems at the loft and can make lazybags and luff socks to suit.
Sailing Schools
We have a long history of providing bomb proof school sails, and doing the odd repair when bomb proof is not enough.
Service
However frantic we aim to keep you sailing and turn around repairs within a week or less.
Now is the time to carry out winter service work to ensure that a small problem now doesn't turn into a large one next season.
You can be sure that repairs carried out will be completed with the correct materials and the best machinery under the guidance of an experienced sailor and sailmaker. We are a member of the Association of British Sailmakers. Don't settle for anything less.
Covers, Awnings and Cushions
We supply covers and awnings of all types. We have recently recruited more staff to cover this area and can offer advise on the large number of fabrics available.
Computer Design and Cutting
Our sail design is almost totally computer aided. In house we own a computerised cutting table to ensure accuracy and repeatability. It is cost effective and efficient enabling us to compete favourably on cost with our multinational competitors.
Most small boat one design sails have been generated on the floor with flat patterns and fairing battens. Ours were no exception. 3D CAD sail design packages produce flat panels from 3D mould shapes. We needed a way of exactly digitising the 2D panel shapes to enable cutting by computer.
